Master MEL!!

Last Friday my sister Mel graduated with her Masters in Social Work! We are really proud of her!! This is us after the ceremony.

Matt and I went with Mel after her celebration dinner to take some pics. Theses are just a few. They turned out really good! Isn't she cute!!

Kass and I at the ceremony... it was really boring. But hey it was worth it! Congrats Mel! We are proud of you and love you!!

It official... We got rid of our Internet and cable. I guess saving money is a good thing. But posts will be even further apart (not that they are really close now) and life will be less TV related. Yippee here we go! Lucky for us there is a Library right down the street!! Who knew?

Spring Break Fun

This is our St. Patrick's Day dinner. We had lettuce wraps, pear jello, asparagus, and green velvet cupcakes (seen later). It was fun!

Us girls went a got pedicures!! It was really nice to relax. And now my toes are ready to see the sun!

Oh by the way...I cut my hair, about 10 inches.

Mel cut her hair too, then I dyed it!

These are the green velvet cupcakes that I made. They looked really good but they didn't taste the best. It wasn't a very good recipe. The frosting on the other hand was delicious... really can you go wrong with butter cream frosting?

We had our first B-B-Q! It was fun!

We went shooting up Hyde Park Canyon. Matt went on three separate days.

Name Tag

I leave my stethoscope hanging around at work all of the time so I decided to make a name tag. Some of my friends at work showed me how to make this. I put sprinkles in it to make it more colorful! Matt had to help me put it together... I'm not so good and putting things together sometimes:) Now no one will steal it...hopefully.

Mardi Gras and Birthday Cakes

On Sunday my sister-in-law made me a birthday cake! It was so cute. She is really good at making cakes. They even put a candle in it and sang to me... It was fun!

Saturday was the annual Mardi Gras party. Lots of treats and of course masks.

V-DAY

For Valentines Day we were up in CV with the family. We went to this new BB&Q place...I didn't really like it. But it did have good corn bread! We had a great dinner at Mom and Dad's on Sunday. We did get a new camera... and it's at the same time as Valentines day so I guess you could say it's what we got ourselves.

I got the beautiful picture of the Temple from Matt for Christmas and we finally got it hung!! It looks so good! Thanks honey!

CaKe MaKiNg

I got these awesome cake pans for Christmas from my sister so I needed to check them out. This is the first time I have ever made a cake with actual cake pans. It was really fun and it turned out tasting great. The frosting job kinda sucks... but hey it's my first time, next time it will be better!!

We got to go to Temple Square and see the lights, and see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. It was great! Thanks Mom & Dad.

This is Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause. My mom had them hanging in our house my whole childhood and when she decided to get rid of them I just couldn't let them go. So they are kinda ugly but I still love them!
